Character education: doing what’s right, online and off
Character is the foundation everything else stands on. Our character education nurtures honesty, integrity, respect and responsibility, so learners make good choices when nobody is watching, online and off.
Why it matters
Why character comes first
Knowledge and skills matter, but how a child uses them matters more. Children today make choices in more places than ever – at school, at home and online – often with no adult watching.
Being ethically grounded means knowing what is right and having the habit of doing it: telling the truth, keeping promises, treating people with respect and owning mistakes. These habits make a child someone others can trust, and they shape every other pillar.

Questions about character education
What is character education?
Character education helps children develop values such as honesty, integrity, respect and responsibility, and turn them into everyday habits. It focuses on who a child is becoming, not just what they know.
How do you teach values online?
Through activities and conversations in each session, guided by coaches who encourage and model good character. Some character and leadership activities happen offline too.
Why does character matter for life online?
Children often make choices online with no adult watching, from how they speak to others in a game to what they share. Character education gives them the values and habits to choose well wherever they are.
